A social networking site for the Philly creative community.
Location: Mi casa, or my bedroom.
Explain your creative space: Since I don't have much space in my room or even a desk, I had to improvise. I just use the top of the plastic drawer shelf. It holds my art supplies, notebooks, and right in front of it I have an inspiration board I can look at when I'm stuck on ideas.
Reasons why I love my space: I love it because it's in my room, no one bothers me, it's quiet, and I easily fall into the zone when I'm brainstorming ideas, writing, painting, or editing pictures.
How I personalize it: The most personalization I did was put up postcards/stickers/art on my cork board. Some I picked up while traveling, and some are from friends around the country. I consider it my inspiration board. It holds a reminder of different styles of art that exists out there. I also have some of my work up so I remember what I've accomplished so far.
What I use my space for for: I use my space to paint, write, take notes, or edit my projects.
Favorite item:It's a tie between my Nikon and my awesome filing-cabinet business card holder. When I go out and network, I tend to pick up so many business cards and somehow misplace them. So, as you can tell…it helps a whole lot for storage. However, my Nikon is usually there for events I attend to help me capture memories. I love them both!
What a cool space Collab member, Awry Diniso, created! The business card filing cabinet is a pretty handy thing but I really dig the cork board with all of the different stickers/etc! If you are interested in sharing your creative space please send us an email at CollaboratePhilly@gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you!
