Event Description

Fresh off our LDM TV: The Pilot shoot, we're returning to Philadelphia's World Cafe Live to celebrate our 250th-ever LDM (and the 4th in the City of Brotherly Love), with a monster night of whimsy and hijinks that'll inspire, wow, impress, titillate and mildly confuse. Don't miss it!

The night's stars include a trio of brilliant judges, including comedian Carolyn Busa (cohost of Laughs on Fairmount, voted Philly's Best Open Mic), Philadelphia Tribune's lifestyle reporter Bobbi Booker, and one of Philly's finest storytellers (along with being a playwright and teaching artist) R. Eric Thomas!

They'll pass judgment on a brilliant foursome of scribes, including comedian/writer Dan Wilbur (author of How Not to Read: Harnessing the Power of a Literature-Free Life), Gigantic Sequins editor-in-chief Kimberly Southwick, award-winning flash fictionist Randall Brown, and General Idea co-curator Kim Gek Lin Short (author of The Bugging Watch & Other Exhibits and China Cowboy — both from Tarpaulin Sky Press)!

Hosted by LDM creator Adrian Todd Zuniga. Produced by Kathleen Volk Miller & Painted Bride Quarterly.

This event is 21+.
Cost: $7 preorder; $10 at the door.
